Romantic Engagement Session at Buffalo Bayou

Jenna and Max

In this line of work, there is no shortage of beautiful, loving couples I get to meet and spend time with. But every once in a while, a couple comes along that just melts my heart… and I mean LEVELED. Jenna and Max were a joy to share space with, and a breath of fresh air to work with. After hearing their story though, I knew that that was what I was in store for.

Having met each other both at the music school at LSU in Baton Rouge, their innate chemistry founded a natural friendship from the start. Towards the end of their undergraduate careers, Max wrote Jenna a letter professing his true, deeper feelings for her and how much their friendship meant to him. As life tends to ebb occasionally, Jenna was going to graduate school across the country and so they decided to part ways without taking their relationship further than where it was.

Fast-forwarding a year, they found themselves reconnecting at some mutual friends’ wedding. Picking up right where they had left off, the sparks emitted were virtually blinding! The next thing Jenna knew, Max had bought a plane ticket to North Carolina where she was living and they decided to pursue a new, loving relationship from afar. Finally being able to enjoy the relationship was always imminent, Max proposed to Jenna recently on a beach during her birthday celebration, where he had each of their friends read a portion of the first letter he ever sent her. Unreal.

Jenna, Max, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for sharing your story with me and letting me be a small part of capturing your larger-than-life bond. Cheers to these two beautiful humans!
